Pastor Dennis L. Isbell     Our Pastor, Dennis L. Isbell, is a native of Toledo, Ohio. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he grew up and graduated from High School in 1976. He became a Christian in 1979 while serving in the United States Air Force. In 1980, he sensed the call to preach the gospel and began to seek training for his future ministry. During this time period he met and courted Debbie Lawrence of Abilene, Texas. They were married in 1981. Thereafter, he and his wife moved to Springfield, Missouri where they both attended the Baptist Bible College. He graduated from this institution in 1986. He has served as an associate pastor of two churches and senior pastor of one church prior to coming to Grace Baptist Temple in 1992. During his ministry in San Antonio, the church has had steady growth, the Church facilities have been relocated to a new area with new buildings, ministries have been added, and total giving has increased significantly. The Isbells are the parents of two daughters. Rebekah, who is married to Tim Sweeney, is now back in San Antonio. As of October 21, 2007, they are the Youth Directors. Heather is now married to Greg Goodin, and will be serving as Youth Directors, in Tulsa. Come to Grace Baptist Temple and meet our pastor, his wife and our friendly people.
